How You Can Help During COVID-19

Make an Immediate Impact

The coronavirus continues to sweep the globe and change the way we live, learn, work, and play. The health of our patients and staff is our top priority and we will not stop working to provide excellent care for all kids. Below are several ways that you can support our efforts during this critical time.

Financial Donations

During this pandemic, other illnesses and emergencies have not stopped, and we remain committed to delivering hope and healing to every child in need. That’s why we created the COVID-19 Children’s Response Fund. This critical support is allowing us to respond quickly to the most urgent priorities and continue to serve the patients and families that need us most.

With this fund, we are:

Providing Answers: We’re expanding diagnostic and testing capacity so that families can get the information they need as soon as possible.

Caring for Families Where They Are: Our telehealth capacity has expanded, allowing us to keep people sheltered in place while providing reliable care.

Protecting Vulnerable Children: We continue to deliver care for families without insurance and those with emergency needs for social service support.

Spreading Joy: Our Child Life Specialists have adapted programming to bring comfort and joy to all patients and offer special services to those in isolation.

Keeping Caregivers Safe: Necessary equipment has been secured to ensure that our teams can do their important work without fear for their own health.

UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals are not just adapting – we are evolving, transforming, and growing. It’s the only way forward. And we’d love to count you as a partner in this unprecedented effort.

Equipment Donations

UCSF is accepting donations of critical supplies for our frontline care providers, including protective equipment and sanitizing items. We've set up donation sites at three locations and will be receiving donations 7 days a week, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
