At 13, Dash was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome and spent more than six weeks at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, including time in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Through intensive rehab and music therapy, he worked his way back to strength and independence. Now, in his senior year, he’s back to playing baseball and football, and remains driven by his athlete mindset. When he’s off the field, Dash enjoys video games, music, biking, and hanging out with friends.
