Kiernan’s journey with UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals began at birth and continued with his leukemia diagnosis as a young child. His mother says, “Most of the nurses…felt like family. They comforted us through long hospitalizations and treatment, all the while maintaining their professionalism and warmth in hard times.” Over the past two years, Kiernan’s care team has supported him through treatment and long hospital stays. He loves cooking shows, Mary Poppins, and anything related to Christmas. Mac and cheese is always a favorite too.
