At a young age, Mira was diagnosed with a rare kidney condition that led to kidney failure. After 18 months of dialysis, she received a transplant at age 6. Thanks to her UCSF care team, Mira is now a healthy 11-year-old who loves dancing, competing in gymnastics, and staying active. She also loves swimming, spending time with friends, and making the most of every day.
