Ambassadors for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco
Founded in December 2014, the Ambassadors for UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco is a diverse group of volunteers who share a deep love and concern for children. Through personal philanthropy, hosting events, and volunteering, our goal is to ensure that the needs of children and their families are provided for during their time at the hospital.
Philanthropy: Ambassadors are deeply committed to supporting the hospital through philanthropy. The Ambassadors fund supports patients and their families with crucial services that are not covered by medical insurance, including family support programs, child life specialists, creative arts, bereavement care, and social service needs.
Events: We raise additional funds and awareness for the hospital with our signature Kentucky Derby Party, as well as through several smaller fundraisers throughout the year.
Volunteering: We create and participate in unique opportunities to enhance the patient experience at the hospital. Events have included Teen Prom, Mother’s Day brunch, Father’s Day Giants outing, and a football kickoff party.
Membership dues are $150 and go to support meetings and other operational costs of the group. We also ask that you commit to one volunteer opportunity per year. Members receive exclusive access to private hospital tours, educational events, and special volunteer opportunities, as well as early bird ticket sales for Ambassador events.
