Notes & Words

Dave Grohl, frontman of celebrated rock band Foo Fighters, will headline Notes & Words, an eclectic, one-night-only event benefiting our Oakland campus on May 12.

Esteemed writer George Saunders, whose novel Lincoln in the Bardo recently won the prestigious Man Booker Prize, will share his distinct brand of darkly humorous prose. And Kelly Corrigan, who launched Notes & Words in 2010, will reveal wisdom from her most recent bestseller, Tell Me More: Stories About the 12 Hardest Things I’m Learning To Say.

Piedmont senior and singer/songwriter Emmett Reed will perform, as will the always inspiring Oakland School for the Arts, who are returning by popular demand.

The evening promises to be epic, but the real thrill comes from supporting the life-changing medicine that we deliver every day at Children’s.
