Swim Across America 2019

Make waves to fight cancer in your community! The San Francisco Bay Swim is a Swim Across America favorite - swimming under the Golden Gate Bridge is unbeatable and swimmers come from all over the country to participate. Expect to see recreational and competitive swimmers as well as a few Olympians.

Swimmers will gather at Little Marina Green/Yacht Harbor Beach, travel to Pier 3 via the wheeled "Cable Car" fleet, and then board a boat for a ride around Alcatraz ending just under the Golden Gate Bridge. Swimmers then jump in and swim 1.5 miles (there is a .75 mile option) to Yacht Harbor Beach. Festivities follow at Little Marina Green.

Proceeds from the swim will support cancer research and patient care at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Survivors of Childhood Cancer Program and the Swim Across America Pediatric Cancer Research Lab in Oakland.
