Meet Teddy & Clark
Teddy's medical journey began at just two months old when he was diagnosed with portal vein thrombosis, a rare and complex condition involving a serious blood clotting disorder. His parents credit UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals for saving Teddy's life, and he continues to receive quarterly checkups to monitor his health.
Two years later, his parents faced another medical challenge when their second son, Clark, was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a serious eye cancer. The treatment at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals has helped Clark, though he now has limited vision in one eye. Despite these early health struggles, the family remains grateful and hopeful, viewing their experience as a testament to the exceptional care they've received.
