Just five days after his birth, Jonah was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland. Born with hydrocephalus – a condition involving excessive fluid in the brain – he underwent a critical procedure and spent the first month of his life in the hospital. Now 16, Jonah has been under the dedicated care of his pediatric team his entire life.
