Hyundai Joins the Fight Against Coronavirus
with Drive-Through Testing Grants

Hyundai Hope On Wheels^® recently donated $100,000 to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals to support COVID-19 testing. The company has donated $1.3 million to support pediatric cancer at our hospitals over the past 10 years.

Thanks to this generous support, we are able to serve our community with a drive-through testing site on both sides of the Bay for any symptomatic pediatric patients and families referred by their primary physician. Drive-through testing is an instrumental part of slowing the spread of COVID-19.

Dedicated to helping kids fight cancer, Hyundai Hope On Wheels^® has donated $170 million to pediatric cancer research since 1998.

"Children with cancer are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19 because many have compromised immune systems,” said Jose Muñoz, President and CEO, Hyundai Motor North America.

"These same kids we strive to help as part of our fight to end childhood cancer, are now in need of our help to fight this pandemic. Our goal is to help provide a safe and trusted way for children who present risk factors to be tested for coronavirus."
