This past September marked Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the 25th anniversary of Hyundai Hope on Wheels' impactful campaign. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported by Hyundai Motor America, Hope On Wheels presented 88 research and programmatic grants this year to eligible institutions across the U.S. focused on improving pediatric cancer outcomes.

We are absolutely THRILLED to share that UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals has been awarded both a $400,000 Hyundai Scholar Hope Grant and a $250,000 Hyundai Young Investigator Grant! The Scholar Hope Grant, awarded over 2 years, will support critical translational research projects. The Young Investigator Grant, also 2 years, will empower innovative research initiatives.

We specifically congratulate our very own Dr. Amit Sabnis and Dr. Robert Lindquist, esteemed recipients of these awards. Their expertise, paired with Hyundai Hope On Wheel's generous funding, will accelerate our understanding and treatment of pediatric cancers. One of our Patient Ambassadors, Oliviya, and Hyundai Hope On Wheels' National Youth Ambassador, Jordyn, (also treated at our hospitals) joined the September ceremony with colorful handprints!

To date, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has contributed $225 million in their mission to end childhood cancer. On behalf of our entire organization, thank you for your tremendous support!
